| Monday, February 02, 2004 What ever happened to prose? Can nobody write like people anymore? Does everybody think that they're the next e e cummings? So you throw in some random punctuation and font styles. Wow, no you're brilliant! Comeon, people! e e cummings was a revolutionary. Get an orginal thought in your head there. The internet is busting at the seems with all of this artsy bullshit. Why? Well, because it's easy and it seems meaningful. But, shit folks, it's just a bunch of ego-maniacal teenagers. I'm only 19, and I don't know shit about love or the world, oh, but some brilliant 16 years old asian girl does, because she writes about it on her xanga. Wow, impressive. Why can't anybody write in clear prose? Is it really that hard? Proofreading some essays in Writing 140 shows me that people actually are unable to write. It's amazing. Oh, but I'm sure her poetry is lovely. Bullshit. Look how easy it is. the rain falls falls falls .it COvers her eYes as she jumps u p into the puddle of her OWN .; SOrrOW;
